Serious about surviving the shift? Read The Police Marksman.

Unlike any other police magazine out there, The Police Marksman (TPM) has been bringing officers realistic tactics and firearms training for more than 30 years. TPM is published six times a year, and has six times the officer safety information of any other periodical I’ve read.

The mission of the magazine is simple: to arm law enforcement with the tools and knowledge to survive, and win, real world encounters. I have maintained a subscription to The Police Marksman for more than 11 years, and have never regretted spending my time and money on it.

Some recent articles include:

  • the pitfalls of ‘dumbing down’ training;
  • a realistic look at how some of our current training is breeding victims instead of warriors in police work;
  • evaluating tactical shooting systems;
  • a review of contact and cover techniques;
  • how to protect your family from revenge attacks;
  • what and how to carry off-duty; and
  • understanding and using the OODA loop.

TPM recently established formal partnerships with the highly successful Calibre Press Street Survival Seminar and the online law enforcement portal, PoliceOne.com. Along with these partnerships, the magazine has undergone a cosmetic refreshment, giving the magazine a modern feel to compliment the cutting edge training articles.

For any police officer who is serious about safety, I highly suggest you check out The Police Marksman.
