A few days ago, I wrote about the shoes and sandals made by ArchPort Shoes. These shoes feature concealment compartments that criminals may utilize to hide drugs or weapons.
I received a pleasant e-mail from Matt Potts, the president of ArchPort. Potts is aware that some criminals may misuse their products, and is working toward educating police agencies about their products.
Potts wrote, in part:
“ArchPort Shoes is proactive in ensuring that law enforcement and security organizations throughout the world are informed about our products. In addition, we have a program where we will send law enforcement our products without charge (shipping and handling only). A number of agencies have ordered the products for instructional purposes.
Richard, I just want you to know that our intent is to sell a useful product. We will do everything within our power to inform officers and others about our products so that they know of the potential for misuse”
I encourage all police and security agencies to take Potts up on his generous offer, and obtain samples of their shoes.
Potts said that police departments can make requests by sending their information to info@archport.com.

archport just got the greatest p.r. and promotion … if it leads to news stories, they can take the ad budget and use it for the important things, such as booze and broads.
can the archport be a threat? of course it can, but it would require criminals to he able to read, and the percentage of literate scumbags continues to fall … when i saw the flip flops, i thought it was a good idea (still do), but couldn’t see any scumbag wearing flips for the commission of a crime … it would be as stupid as having one’s arms, back, neck and legs tatooed, making identification much easier and faster …

You are absolutely correct: underestimating the stupidity of scumbags can have tragic results.
I think Archport has a good product, and I think it fills a niche in the market that I hope they can profit from.
