The Virginia Capitol Police have followed the lead of several other law enforcement agencies by purchasing the Beretta PX4 Storm pistols to issue to their officers. While Glock still holds a commanding 50% of the US law enforcement market, the Beretta Storm and Smith and Wesson M&P have both seen some significant agency orders recently.
As an interesting side note, Wikipedia lists the Virginia Capitol Police as the oldest US law enforcement agency.
