I've never seen any of the problems you describe. However, I have seen the same kinds of issues on all types of guns. I know my SIG P226 will rust up if I don't clean and oil it weekly here in Florida. After one night of rain, the sights and mags will show rust. Sounds like maybe a bad run of guns. I’ve never seen any of the problems you describe. However, I have seen the same kinds of issues on all types of guns. The gun has numerous flaws that are great officer safety issues. I have seen the magazines routinely fall out during rapid fire, the slide release breaks off, slide will rust with any mostiure in the air, and my friend's firing pin sheared off. The gun had around 3500 rounds through it when the pin sheared. After the issues were brought to the department's attention, they told us that new guns will have their issues.
