As long time readers will immediately notice, there are changes underway here at BlueSheepdog.com.
The most obvious one is the new layout and color scheme. I’ve changed things around to better suit the requests I have had from the readers. The articles should be easier to read for everyone, but if not please let me know!
I’ve also tried to make it easier for everyone to sign up for the newsletter. The small box off to the side got lost in the mix and many people said they couldn’t find it to sign up. This should be much easier!
The RSS feed has been updated to show full posts now. This had been a request by various people who wanted an easier way to get the information we publish here. I’ve also moved the feed over to FeedBurner as the previous solution was a little difficult to work with.
Speaking of RSS, the “social media” buttons are right next to the feed button. From there you will be taken to the Twitter and Facebook pages. I’ve got some more work to finish here, but the Facebook site is next on the list. I know several of you have been pushing for a better way to interact there, so I am working to make that happen.
Currently, I am using a simple indexing plugin to generate a sitemap, but I want a better solution for people to be able to navigate through the site. BlueSheepdog has been around since 2007, and there is some good information in the archives. I’d like an easier way for people to access that. So, if you know of a good WordPress plugin that allows for a structured way to navigate the archives, please let me know!

I like the new layout. The black/blue thing was tough on some of us older eyes….Not sure of the platform you’re using but I do a bit of web design work. If you have any questions or need some help with anything don’t hesitate to ask.
