Ruger has introduced the new LCRx with 3″ barrel. Building upon their very popular LCR series of revolvers, the longer barrel builds on the LCR’s ability to conceal with the increased accuracy of a longer barrel. The larger LCRx with 3″ barrel can be a serious contender for off-duty carry, or home defense. The +P potential of the LCRx provides additional assurance with stopping power.
The LCRx with 3″ barrel comes with all the features of the LCR series of revolvers:
- High strength stainless steel cylinder
- Monolithic frame
- Ionbond Diamondback cylinder finish
- Patented Ruger friction reducing trigger cam.
- Hogue Tamer mono grip
Additionally the LCRx with 3″ barrel has the following:
- 5-shot capacity
- Adjustable rear sight
- Replaceable, pinned ramp front sight
- MSRP – $529
The revolver has been a popular weapon selection for a long time, providing nearly guaranteed reliability when firing. Unlike a semi-automatic handgun that can be knocked out of battery by a slide tap, or magazine drop, the revolver is much more reliable.
The .38 caliber revolver used to be the standard selection for police officers duty weapons. Most revolvers have been replaced with higher capacity semi-auto handguns for duty use, but Ruger’s LCRx with 3″ barrel just might reignite the popularity of revolvers for off-duty, back-up or home defense.
